All paths lead to the sacred center
To us, The Magical Druid isn't just a storefront on a corner, an online shopping site, or even a business, really. Instead, it's a way of "being:" we live our lives as magical Druids, seeking the sacred in nature, deepening our work, and building relationships with others (both human and spirit).
Both Seamus and Michael are trained in the study programs of Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship (ADF), an international fellowship devoted to creating a public tradition of Neopagan Druidry. Both have been deeply active in the local ADF Grove, Three Cranes Grove, ADF, as well as the Columbus Sanctuary, and done work both academically and functionally in other traditions as well. We've built strong connections to the community around us, and we really hope to give back to those who have given us so much.
We also don't see "Druidry" as being limited to people who follow a "Druid path." We love the word because the Druids of old were learned men and women who did the work of bringing the community together for public worship, regardless of their path. That is what we really hope to do here.
In other words, the store we run is an extension of our Druidry and our magical lives, not the other way around. As we study and deepen our work, we find new things to make, new tools to carve, and new prayers to speak. What we really want to do is to provide that to our community, both locally and abroad.
A really big part of what we do, too, is represent local Pagan (and Pagan-friendly) artists within our community, as well as some artists from a bit further afield. We have artwork and items from several artisans on top of the work of both Seamus and Michael.
